What's new...monogrammed bows..

I have found a font that I REALLY like so well that I have made up some bows for Ariel and a friend. I am contemplating shutting down my website for now, so these won't be on there, but you can always email me if your interested. Any letter from A-Z.
This is a pinwheel bow instead of the loopy boutique bow.

Okay, here is another cute monogram, like the one on the tea towl, but this time I put it on a tee for a sweet little friend of mine. She wore it to VBS so I could snap a quick picture of her.

Mothers Day-2009

The school had a Mother's Day luncheon, so Ariel invited me to come eat with her. The kids wrote the cutest poems that was read by the teachers. She also ordered me 2 roses. (school messed up and only gave me 1--:()

We had a nice lunch together, then I took her out of school to make the trip to Illinois. So, I spent my Mother's Day at the Hospital with my biological Dad, then visited with Grandparents and Aunt and Uncle, then headed back to Texas.

Just a swinging......

We just had to make a quick trip to Illinois and Ariel discovered this cool swing at Grandma Smiths house...She now wants one at her house..

Teacher Apprection Week....

Sorry, I get behind in blogging. This is the busiest time of the year for us. I did manage to get some Teacher Appreciation gifts made this week. (This is besides the cake and cookies our lucky Mrs. Luck received.

So, I wanted to share these cool new things. A checkbook cover, all made in the hoop of a embroidery machine. Then I created a cute Initial Pen to match! She's getting the pen tomorrow! She loved the checkbook cover. Enjoy!

I can also applique initial on them. I will have more prints coming soon and some neat TIE dye shirts.

Sharing Easter pictures..

These are the new Curlformers we used to curl our hair for Easter.
It rained on us Easter, so we moved the egg hunt inside the Sunday School rooms. Hey, it didn't bother them, they still had fun.

The storm that moved through our area...

These pictures are from the severe thunderstorm that moved through our area on Thursday night April 9th, 2009.
Ariel went outside after it passed and picked up the hail and took it to school for show and tell on Friday..
She looks like a little wet dog...

Doug Stone Concert

I must say I have been a Doug Stone fan for many years. All the way back to when he had a heart attack. I have seen him about 4 different times before now. I have always loved his music.

So, when hubby called yesterday and said "guess who's going to be in Sulphur Springs"? I knew I would want to see him. So, we headed there after work. I felt sorry for the organization getting him there, b/c there wasn't more than 100 people in the audience.

Better off in a Pine Box was a big hit for him, along with alot more. I have always loved his "Santa's flying a 747 tonight" Christmas song. So, after the concert, we had a chance to visit with him and get our pictures. Man, he has grayed since I saw him 7 years ago. Imagine that! Thank goodness I'm a blonde or I might be gray.... Enjoy the photos.

1st Major Haircut.....I can't believe it...

Well, I can't actually believe I did it, but she has been asking for her hair to be cut short....Me being a ex-beautician, I just didn't think I could do it and have put her off for a while, but finally decided with that much natural curl, it needed a good "CUT".

So, here we are! She wanted it shorter, but as I was ALMOST done, she started crying and saying, I want my hair long...I told her, "hey, it's just hair, and it will grow back", so after I was done, she did like it.

I was so excited this am to get her up and get it fixed. I actually straightened it today. It looked adorable and as many times as we told her that, she LOVED it! She was afraid nobody would notice it...LOL, but they did! I am curious to get her response when she comes home from school as to what her friends thought.

I am posting Before and After pics...well, after comes first then the before.

My daughter is singing.....

Welcome to my first post for my blog. I thought I would share that my sweet daughter, Ariel, will be singing the National Anthem at a Monster Truck show in Baton Rouge, La this weekend on Friday and Saturday night.

She is so excited, but this isn't her first time to sing. It's a wonderful opportunity for her and I guarantee you she will be happy as can be.

She isn't shy by any means.
These photos are of her singing in Minneapolis MN in December 2008. Sorry, I didn't take the photos and I just handed my camera on to a girl standing there, so this is what she got. I am the blond standing to the right side of the picture. The other photo is my hubby putting her earplugs in.
She wanted to sing when we were at a show in Dallas in 2007 and when we got there, they told us they had a singer lined up already, so she was disappointed. So on Saturday night, it was almost time for the doors to open for the show and they asked me if she wanted to sing? (the other singer didn't show back up) and I asked her and she said "yes".

Now keep in mind, she had NEVER done this before. She had never sang with a mic. Never been in front of a large crowd....ect...NEVER...I wasn't even prepared for it. So, she had on a cute Gymboree outfit, which was okay, but I would have dressed her a little nicer had we known this would happen.
So, here it goes...I grabbed the video camera, but I was as nervous as can be. Remember, she has NEVER even practiced with a mic!
Guess what, she drove her little monster truck out to the floor, got out, grabbed the mic and SANG so sweetly. Talk about a PROUD mommy and daddy!

One thing I didn't mention, is her Daddy drives the "Suzuki-Makita" monster truck, so she has been around this all of her life. Not shy at all.
