Creative Arts-Titus Co. Fair

 So, Ariel has been taking art lessons and this was the last project she was doing. If you don't know by now, she LOVES cats, as so does her art teacher...
She entered this canvas in the fair, but was upset because she didn't get a place on it...hey, it's number 1 in our book. GREAT job Ariel.

Sorry, I've gotten behind on my blog. Life gets so busy in the fall, that something has to be left un-touched and that has been my blog.
Ariel participated in the Academic Rodeo for the fair. She done Speech last year and finished 2nd place (AWESOME job), and she wanted to do speech again this year. So she did! She done GREAT to say the least, but didn't place this year.
She never stuttered, stumbled or forgot her words, but that's all I will say about it!
So, here is her ribbon and free tickets to get into the fair. Great job kiddo's.

uh oh.....trouble with a capital T.....

Okay, so yesterday I decided to bake a turkey breast. Part of the healthy eating I've been doing for 20 something days...anyway, turkey in....finished lunch...was working on the computer and then I heard this awful noise...sounded electrical, but I didn't know. So, I make a MAD dash to the kitchen...stumped my toe, slid on the floor and fell....NO...not that part, but did go running to the kitchen to find smoke coming through the burners on top of the stove....saw the timer on the stove was off and thinking...what the heck! Opened the oven door and smoke filled the room...Me: scared as everthing (b/c of all the grass fires around), called the hubby...Told him what happened and he came home. It seems as if the element in the oven exploded, causing at arc of electricity to run about through the oven...So, that was the awful noise I heard. It threw the breaker, which was a great thing. Guess that puts a stop to a fire happening. SO glad there wasn't a fire. Anyway, here's the inside of my stove. It was yellowish looking..and the turkey had the same look...NOT LOL either.

So, we hauled it off and off to Sears to make a purchase. And here it is. Nice, huh! 

Week 4 of school....

Wow, we are already starting our 4th week of school. It is flying bye. Before we know it report cards will be coming.
I had bought Ariel this skirt last year and we never got a chance to wear it. Then I found the cute vest and when I showed it to her, she fell in love with it. Well, she couldn't decide what to wear today, so we paired this outfit up. She looked SO cute this morning, I couldn't pass up taking her picture and sharing it with ya'll. Hope you enjoy it. She has lost about 7 lbs lately and is SO tall. Love her to pieces.

Yes, fall is almost here, so is fall ball! She has come so far since t-ball and continues to learn softball. I love how she has the right hand out to help catch the ball. It almost looks as if it helps her balance catching the ball.
