Ariel posing with a pace car (I think) at Fan Fest. This sure brought back alot of memories.
We haven't been back to race Pikes Peak since Ariel was 18 months old (so 9 years ago).
Bobby is having with-drawls now! He wants to go back and race it.
Pikes Peak is now paved all the way to the summit! (and it wasn't when he set his record-it was partially paved, but mostly dirt)
Bobby talking to Mike Ryan, the driver of the diesel truck that races to the summit of Pikes Peak!
Wish we could have seen his run, but we had to get on the road as soon as we finished watching/shooting the quads take off from the starting line.
Too many hours to travel home, but there was several wrecks with the cars and then bad weather moved in, so they had to move the finish line down the mountain.

Next stop....Cave of the winds...
Ariel loved the bear outside of the Cave of the winds. She had a hard time getting on him, and a harder time falling off! HaHa!
Colorado is just beautiful! We had the best weather when we came out of the tour here! I sure wish we had weather like this in Texas! (no chance at all though)

Colorado...we have arrived!
We arrived on Wed. morning after driving straight thru with 14 hours on the road! We were definately tired when we arrived at 3 am! Bobby didn't even sleep. He headed straight up the mountain to take pictures! Me and Ariel hit the bed!
After about 4-5 hours sleep, she was up and ready to ride her bike. We stayed at the Garden of the Gods campground. It has some nice riding areas, plus a trail to the skate park!
We did get to venture out (besides the work we were there to do) and took Ariel to 7-Falls. This is Ariel with the Indian dancers that performed there.
This is the 3 of us-atop the 7 Falls stairs we climbed! Yes, we climbed ALL the way to the top of the falls!
And this is Ariel at the bottom of the steps we climbed. The picture just doesn't do the steps any justice! It was 368 steps up and down total! Yes, my legs were like jelly when I got to the top and I was SO out of breath! We are So not used to the altitude there!

Parasailing......August 2012
This is the place they parasailed from. We definately weren't happy when they returned and told us they didn't even stay up 5 min.So sad for the amount of money we spent!
Ariel is ready to go!
Leaving out on the boat!

Beach Trip-July 28th, 2012
We arrived at the Shipwatch Condo after 10 hours of traveling. This is where we always stay when we travel to the beach.
Ariel already making some sand castles.
This is just one of the sand castles the crew builds.
