My daughter is singing.....

Welcome to my first post for my blog. I thought I would share that my sweet daughter, Ariel, will be singing the National Anthem at a Monster Truck show in Baton Rouge, La this weekend on Friday and Saturday night.

She is so excited, but this isn't her first time to sing. It's a wonderful opportunity for her and I guarantee you she will be happy as can be.

She isn't shy by any means.
These photos are of her singing in Minneapolis MN in December 2008. Sorry, I didn't take the photos and I just handed my camera on to a girl standing there, so this is what she got. I am the blond standing to the right side of the picture. The other photo is my hubby putting her earplugs in.
She wanted to sing when we were at a show in Dallas in 2007 and when we got there, they told us they had a singer lined up already, so she was disappointed. So on Saturday night, it was almost time for the doors to open for the show and they asked me if she wanted to sing? (the other singer didn't show back up) and I asked her and she said "yes".

Now keep in mind, she had NEVER done this before. She had never sang with a mic. Never been in front of a large crowd....ect...NEVER...I wasn't even prepared for it. So, she had on a cute Gymboree outfit, which was okay, but I would have dressed her a little nicer had we known this would happen.
So, here it goes...I grabbed the video camera, but I was as nervous as can be. Remember, she has NEVER even practiced with a mic!
Guess what, she drove her little monster truck out to the floor, got out, grabbed the mic and SANG so sweetly. Talk about a PROUD mommy and daddy!

One thing I didn't mention, is her Daddy drives the "Suzuki-Makita" monster truck, so she has been around this all of her life. Not shy at all.
